More time for making.
ClothCount began with a simple wish: to make useful resources for my wife, who loves creating with fabric.
That wish shapes the site: clear measurements, a plan you can see, and less arithmetic between an idea and the cutting table. If it helps you make something of your own, it belongs here too.

Glim keeps you company along the way.
A little help before the first cut
Fabric planning brings together different questions: how much to buy, which way a print should run, and how a finished size becomes a cut size. ClothCount keeps those decisions beside the numbers.
The calculators show what to buy and what to cut separately. Their diagrams explain the layout, while the methods and answers stay open for you to read at your own pace.
Your fabric. Your decisions.
A calculator can help with the arithmetic. Your measurements, fabric and construction method give that arithmetic its meaning. Check the usable width, choose the allowances your project needs, and sew a test unit when a method calls for one.
The aim is a useful companion to your making: a place to check a plan, understand the result, and get back to creating.
